The real Umrah cost from Bangalore in 2026

Two Umrah packages from Bengaluru can both cost about ₹1.15 lakh and still be completely different trips. In one, your hotel is a five-minute walk from Masjid al-Haram. With the other, the hotel is a kilometre away, and you make that walk ten times a day.

Price alone tells you very little. This guide breaks down what a 14-day Umrah from Bangalore costs in 2026, line by line. Every figure was checked against packages listed by Bengaluru agencies in October 2026, including our own at Ajyad Tours International in Frazer Town.

What a 14-day Umrah from Bangalore costs right now

Most all-inclusive packages from Bengaluru fall into three rough bands this season. They cover return flights, visa, insurance, hotels, meals and transfers.

  • Economy, about ₹85,000 to ₹95,000 per person, with hotels usually 700 metres to 1 km from the Haram
  • Mid-range, about ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,30,000, with hotels often within 300 to 500 metres
  • Top tier, about ₹1,30,000 to ₹1,75,000, with hotels at the Haram itself or within 100 metres

For reference, our Premium Umrah is ₹1,14,999 for 14 days with direct Saudia flights. Its hotel is about five minutes' walk from Masjid al-Haram. Our Luxury Umrah is ₹1,34,999, with a room at Makkah Towers in the Clock Tower complex, which opens onto the Haram courtyard.

Two details change these numbers more than people expect. Almost every quoted price assumes four or five people share a room. A couple who want a double room will pay more each, so ask for that price separately.

Some agencies also quote land-only prices, which leave out flights and sometimes the visa. A ₹48,000 land-only quote can end up costing more than a ₹90,000 all-inclusive one. Add a ₹35,000 flight and a ₹15,000 visa, and you are already at ₹98,000.

Where your money actually goes in a ₹1.15 lakh package

Agencies rarely show this breakdown, so here is a rough one. These are typical ranges for a 14-day trip from Bengaluru, per person, on shared rooms.

  • Return flight from Bengaluru to Jeddah, about ₹30,000 to ₹45,000 outside peak season
  • Umrah visa with Saudi health insurance, about ₹12,500 to ₹18,000
  • Hotels for 13 nights in Makkah and Madinah, the biggest and most variable cost
  • Three meals a day, which agencies usually bundle rather than price separately
  • Coach transfers between the airport, Makkah and Madinah, plus guided Ziyarat

Hotels are where quotes really differ, and they are priced per room, not per person. Say a room near the Haram costs ₹10,000 a night and four of you share it. That works out to ₹2,500 each per night, or ₹32,500 over 13 nights.

Move to a ₹4,000 room a kilometre away, and your share drops to ₹13,000. The ₹19,500 gap explains most of the difference between an economy and a premium package. Once you see it this way, a cheap quote stops being a mystery. Usually the hotel is further away, the flight has a stop, or meals are left out.

Why the hotel's distance matters more than its star rating

Five daily prayers in Makkah means five walks to the Haram and five walks back. From a hotel 1 km away, that adds up to about 10 km every day. With crowds and afternoon heat, the distance gets harder each day, not easier.

Elderly parents feel this the most. A walk that takes a fit adult 12 minutes can take a parent with bad knees twice as long. That is why we suggest our Luxury package for elders and families. At Makkah Towers you leave the lift and walk straight into the Haram courtyard.

A star rating tells you about the lobby and the room. It says nothing about the walk. A three-star hotel 200 metres away often serves a pilgrim better than a five-star hotel 1.5 km out. Before you compare prices, ask for the exact hotel name and check its walking distance on a map yourself.

Is a direct flight from Bengaluru worth the extra money

Saudia Airlines flies direct from Kempegowda International Airport to Jeddah in about six hours. Connecting options on Oman Air, Gulf Air or Air Arabia often cost less. A stop in Muscat, Bahrain or Sharjah can add several hours to the journey.

On paper, the saving looks good. The trouble is Ihram. Most pilgrims from Bengaluru enter Ihram before the flight or on board, ahead of the Miqat. On a connecting route, you wait in a transit lounge in Ihram, sometimes for hours, before boarding again.

Young couples usually manage that without trouble. For elderly parents or a family with small children, a direct flight is the kinder choice. Both our fixed packages fly direct for this reason, and connections are available if you customise your Umrah.

When Umrah from Bangalore costs the most

Ramadan is the most expensive time to go, and the last ten nights cost the most of all. One Bengaluru agency lists its Ramadan package about ₹25,000 above its regular economy price. Ramadan 2027 is expected to begin in early February, so ask for Ramadan prices now if you hope to go then.

School holidays push prices up too. In Karnataka that means April and May, plus the December break. Flights rise first, and hotels near the Haram follow. Families who can travel outside these windows often get the same hotel for less.

Booking two to three months ahead gives you the widest choice of hotels. Last-minute seats do appear, but usually in the hotels nobody else wanted.

The visa rule that makes very cheap quotes risky

Indian pilgrims cannot simply buy an Umrah visa alone and sort out the rest later. Under current Saudi rules, the visa goes through an approved agency on the Nusuk system. Your hotel and transport must be booked and registered before the visa is issued.

This changes how you should read a quote. If an agent offers a visa without confirmed hotel names, something is missing. Ask which hotels are registered for your booking, and ask for the booking reference. A genuine agent can answer both questions in one phone call.

Saudi visa rules change often, sometimes mid-season. Check the current position with your agent before you pay any advance. You will also need a meningitis vaccine certificate, so book that appointment early.

Costs that rarely appear in the quote

Even a complete package leaves a few things out. Plan for these so they do not surprise you in Makkah.

  • A double or triple room instead of quad sharing
  • Extra baggage on the way home, especially with Zamzam and gifts
  • Wheelchair hire at the Haram for elderly parents
  • Laundry, phone data and a local SIM card
  • Dates, gifts and shopping, which add up faster than anyone admits
  • Your meningitis vaccine and any travel medicines

Our packages include 5 litres of Zamzam for every pilgrim, so you can skip one of those extra bags. Ask any agency which of these items they cover before you compare final prices.

Questions to ask any agency before you pay

Since 2009, our team in Frazer Town has put the same five things in writing for every pilgrim before taking payment. You should ask any agency for them, including us.

  • The exact hotel names in Makkah and Madinah, with walking distances
  • A day-by-day itinerary from Bengaluru and back
  • The airline, and whether the flight is direct or connecting
  • Room sharing, meals and transfers, spelled out clearly
  • Every inclusion, and the per-person price with nothing hidden

If an agency hesitates on any of these, treat that as your answer. The best quote is the one you can check line by line.

So what should you budget for Umrah from Bangalore

For a comfortable 14-day Umrah from Bangalore in 2026, budget roughly ₹1.1 to ₹1.4 lakh per person on shared rooms. Spend more of that budget on hotel distance than on stars. Choose a direct flight if elders are travelling, and avoid Ramadan and school holidays if your dates are flexible.
